We were a no-show on Sunday at the markets as Tabitha had to work, so instead my friends Sylvia & Iain visited me so Syl could do some modelling for Black Tabi! The budding Spring is still at the forefront of everyone's minds here in Sydney, hence the Floral Power Suit above.

Rozelle is a wonderful, affordable market full of proper vintage junk and girls clearing out their wardrobes, we can't recommend it enough. I'm so giddy with excitement from the Springlike weather we're having today that I'm tempted to say you can pay me with boughs of Jasmine, but that's bad business, huh.

Our Etsy store is still on vacation... so feel free to kick my butt about shooting stock to list if you come by! Going to keep the extra special stock at home for the store so there will be surprises!

It sure has been a while!

In spite of having the best intentions, we two introverts found ourselves pretty overwhelmed for a while there, both starting new jobs that were full-time to begin with, Georgia moved house in a crazy two-stage process involving storing everything and staying with friends for a whole month. We needed a fair bit of down time to recover.

We are still enthused, of course, and are making moves to re-open our Etsy store, so stay tuned.

Plans are afoot! Tabitha has been contemplating style blogging, Georgia has been hand picking new items for the store and dreaming up Black Tabi styling ideas.

For now, a few lovely moments from my year in thrifting so far:

Our first sale! I'm just about to ship this pastel necklace from the 80s.

Earlier this month we went to market. It was really interesting and we had a lot of fun. With only one night's sleep between us, we managed to stay perky all day, sustained by coffee and croissants from Victoire (delicious). The weather surprised everyone by being scorching enough to burn our shoulders real bad - next time sunscreen goes at the top of the list!

We watched our old clothes walk away on the backs of so many gorgeous folks - including one of our favourite illustrators and fashion plates, Caitlin Shearer, and Celia Morris of Dragstar (where I saw Claire Danes once years ago! - G). It was exactly the purge our bloated collection of stock needed!

We've had a big day of shooting, including a bunch of pastels that we're excited to list! Here's a sneak peek.
